WAVES ANNOUNCES VERSION 6 ENHANCEMENTS
FOR ITS PLUG-IN LINE— V6 features Easy Authorization, iLok.com Support, and TLC Theft & Loss Coverage —
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL, July 11, 2008 — Waves Audio announces the release of its long-awaited Waves Version 6 (V6) software. Developed as a direct response to customer comments and suggestions, V6 delivers a major improvement to the overall Waves user experience. Available at no additional charge to users covered by Waves Update Plan, V6 offers updated features and functionality throughout Waves’ extensive product line.
Waves’ 90-plus processors are used in the creation of hit records, major motion pictures, and popular video games the world over. V6 introduces several new enhancements, including iLok.com Support, a new simpler way to register and authorize Waves products; TLC Theft & Loss Coverage protection program, a Waves exclusive which ensures that product authorizations are never lost due to iLok key theft or loss; and complete compatibility with all major audio hosts and operating systems, including Vista and Leopard.
Installation is remarkably simple and straightforward. Users upgrading to Version 6 can choose among three main installers, Essentials, Expanded, and Complete, each with a specific subset of Waves plug-ins and bundles. During the installation process, users will be prompted to choose the specific products they want, and only those selected tools will be installed. Additional installers for 360° Surround Tools, Studio Classics Collection and Waves Certification are also available.
Also new from Waves are Personalized Upgrade Paths, which lets users step up from the products they have to the products they want, no matter what product or combination of products they currently own.
The Waves Version 6 update is available at waves.com, where users can also demo V6 before installing and view V6 video tutorials.
