Waves now shipping V16: timeless tools, refined for improved workflow and creativity
Knoxville, TN, June 23, 2025 — Waves Audio, the world’s leading developer of professional audio signal processing technologies and plugins, introduces Waves V16, the latest version of Waves plugins, designed to enhance workflow efficiency and streamline the mixing process.
V16 is Waves’ latest plugin update, maintaining and improving its extensive catalog of over 240 plugins. This version introduces usability enhancements that provide clearer visuals and improved control over their mix. To ensure consistent output levels and eliminate disruptive loudness jumps, with V16, Waves integrates Auto Makeup Gain into five iconic compressors: CLA-2A Compressor/Limiter, CLA-3A Compressor/Limiter, CLA-76 Compressor/Limiter, Abbey Road RS124 Compressor, and V-Comp.
Additionally, COSMOS Sample Finder, Waves’ smart sample organizer and browser, now operates seamlessly as a plugin within DAWs, enabling sample auditioning, in sync with session key and tempo. The updated COSMOS also features reduced scan times, auto-grouping of identical audio, an updated interface, and performance enhancements for a smoother workflow.
Waves V16 also introduces freeform corner-drag resizing, across all Waves plugins, enabling users to customize plugin window sizes to suit their workspace preferences. Moreover, Waves has modernized new interfaces for these five classics: The V-Series bundle—including V-COMP, V-EQ3 and V-EQ4, along with IR-Live Convolution Reverb, and MaxxBass. These newly redesigned interfaces offer enhanced clarity while preserving their classic sound.
Waves V16 is fully compatible with the latest operating systems and DAWs, allowing creators to mix effortlessly in modern production environments.
