Waves offers eMotion LV1 Classic mixing console, recently upgraded to 80 stereo channels, 160 inputs and 52 busses
NAB Show, Las Vegas, NV, April 19, 2026 — Waves Audio (booth 2722), a global leader in pro audio solutions, is displaying eMotion LV1 Classic, its powerful live mixing console for live production and broadcast workflows – recently selected by industry leaders as Winner of the 41st Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award for outstanding technical achievement in the Small Format Console Technology category.
For broadcast and live streaming environments, LV1 Classic offers up to 80 stereo channels (160 inputs) and 52 buses with flexible routing, making it well-suited for managing complex audio feeds from multiple sources – such as commentators, field audio, music beds and remote contributors. LV1 Classic functions as a compact, all-in-one broadcast mixing solution, combining the familiarity of a traditional console with the scalability and processing flexibility required for modern live-to-air, streaming and hybrid production environments.
LV1 Classic’s 32-bit floating-point mix engine, as well as its 16 inputs powered by the onboard Waves Signature Preamps, provide the headroom and precision needed for consistent, on-air sound. Native integration with Waves plugins allows engineers to apply broadcast-ready processing, EQ, dynamics, noise reduction, and loudness control, directly within the console. This reduces the need for external processing racks and streamlines signal flow.
LV1 Classic’s seamless integration of Waves’ massive processing catalog makes it an exceptionally powerful console in terms of processing capabilities. Each LV1 channel can be populated freely by the user’s processors of choice (up to 8 plugins per channel), without being ‘locked in’ to any particular channel-strip processing. This enables engineers to tailor the sound to the unique requirements of the specific production, without limitations. LV1 Classic includes 16 of Waves’ most powerful live sound processors, included as part of the console – including trusted tools for live pitch correction, dynamic EQ, feedback elimination, and much more – with the option of adding any of Waves’ 160 live-enabled processors.
By default, LV1 Classic features 64 stereo channels (128 inputs) and 44 stereo buses of industry-leading sound. However, it can optionally expand to 80 stereo channels (160 inputs), 52 buses, 32 auxes (including up to 24 monitor aux sends), via an optional software expansion. (Because any LV1 channel can be either mono [one input] or stereo [two inputs], this expands LV1’s input capacity to a massive 160 inputs.)
In addition, LV1 Classic’s physical fader count can be expanded easily via the Waves LV1 Control – an optional control surface that doubles LV1 Classic’s fader count from 17 to 34. Connecting to the LV1 Classic console with a single USB connection, LV1 Control boasts the same features as LV1 Classic’s own fader bank: 17 motorized 100mm faders, 17 encoders and 17 mini-displays with per-channel LCD metering; Touch-and-Turn function mapping for on-screen parameters; Select/Mute/Solo toggle control per channel; 8 layer keys and 8 utility keys; tempo pad; and 16+2 user-defined keys for user customization.
With these updates and improvements, Waves’ LV1 is now bigger, faster and more powerful than ever. With a pristine-sounding mixer engine, quick-access UI, a large 21.5” multi-touch screen combined with 100mm motorized tactile faders, and the industry’s most powerful integration of state-of-the-art processing included in the console itself, LV1 Classic packs more live mixing power into a compact console than ever before.
