WAVES ON TOUR PRESENTS
“STUDIO CLASSICS COLLECTION EXPERIENCE”
WITH EDDIE KRAMER
— Legendary producer/engineer will tour throughout March, April
and May 2008 with
Waves specialists as part of series of special events featuring lectures
and demonstrations —
KNOXVILLE, TN, March 5, 2008 — Waves Audio
announces its latest series of educational events. The series, entitled
“Studio Classics Collection Experience,” will feature legendary
producer/engineer Eddie Kramer, along with Waves Product Specialists,
in events discussing, demonstrating and celebrating Waves’ powerful
Studio Classics Collection. The tour will take Kramer and the Waves
crew to several cities across the U.S. throughout March, April and May.
Latest tour date updates and news are available online at www.waves.com.
Kramer’s resume boasts production and/or engineering
work on dozens of smash hits with some of the most legendary names in
rock history: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones,
Kiss, David Bowie and many more. Kramer will be discussing recording
techniques, vintage analog gear and today’s plug-in models, as
well as sharing anecdotes from his four decades in the industry and
answering questions about classic analog gear and the new digital emulations.
Waves Product Specialists will be on hand to demonstrate the Studio
Classics Collection and take an in-depth look at its powerful features.
The Studio Classics Collection represents the cutting
edge of today’s hardware modeling. With the SSL 4000 Collection,
V-Series and The API Collection, Waves has gone to painstaking lengths
to model classic consoles. The SCC does not merely mimic the components
and circuit schematics; it recreates every last behavioral nuance of
actual vintage hardware. Kramer and others utilized such units to create
classic sounds on countless hit recordings, making him a perfect resource
to help lay a foundation of knowledge for today’s digital recording
artists, engineers and producers.
Gilad Keren, CEO of Waves Ltd., commented on the event
series: “Waves on Tour’s ‘Studio Classics Collection
Experience’ with Eddie Kramer represents Waves’ commitment
to providing users with not only the state of the art in signal processing
but also accessible opportunities to enhance their knowledge and proficiency
with access to the top engineers and producers in the industry. Having
used the original vintage gear on which the Collection is based puts
Kramer in a unique position to bridge past and present and look to the
future.”
