FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Waves announces Better U training event ahead of InfoComm 2026

— Hands-on, masterclass-style experience designed to inspire and educate live sound engineers —

Knoxville, TN, May 19, 2026Waves Audio, a global leader in pro audio, will host “Better U,” a one-day comprehensive training event focused on the Waves eMotion LV1 Classic platform, bringing together engineers, integrators, house-of-worship leaders and audio professionals for a unique blend of technical education and creative inspiration.

Taking place at the Central Church in Henderson, Nevada, on Tuesday, June 16, the day before InfoComm exhibits open, Better U is designed as a deep-dive learning experience led by industry experts Jeremiah Clever, Waves product specialist, and a special collaborative session with renowned front-of-house engineers Jeff Sandstrom (known for his work with Chris Tomlin, Passion City Church and Lauren Daigle) and Amanda Davis (currently on tour with Moonchild), both on their own LV1 Classic . The event will feature 8-12 networked consoles for hands-on participation, alongside live demonstrations projected on LED displays, ensuring all attendees can follow along and engage, regardless of experience level.

The program combines practical workflow training with a broader masterclass-style approach, emphasizing how engineers can use technology to create meaningful, memorable live audio experiences. Sessions throughout Better U will provide attendees with an in-depth exploration of modern live sound workflows, including console signal flow, advanced mixing strategies, immersive monitoring environments, plugin integration, and practical approaches to achieving greater clarity, consistency and impact in live productions. Beyond the technical fundamentals, the sessions will also focus on creative decision-making and the role engineers play in shaping emotional audience experiences, helping participants better understand how technology, workflow and artistic intent come together in real-world concert, touring and house-of-worship environments.

“Better U is about investing in the person behind the console,” said Maximilian Williams, Waves Live Sound Marketing Manager. “This isn’t a sales event; it’s an opportunity for engineers at any level to get hands-on with the platform, learn from experienced professionals, and walk away with tools they can immediately apply. We want attendees to leave not only more confident in their technical abilities, but inspired to create better experiences for the audiences they serve.”

In addition to training sessions, “Better U” will feature a panel discussion with industry professionals, open Q&A opportunities, and networking with participating technology partners. Lunch will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring laptops for interactive participation using the LV1 offline editor.

Open to beginners through seasoned professionals, particularly those working in house-of-worship, touring and venue production, Better U is designed to provide both practical skills and a broader creative perspective. This Better U event is proudly presented by Waves in partnership with d&b Audiotechnik, BNY Productions, OHR LED, MxU and Worship Sound Guy – brands committed to enabling live event teams to achieve the highest standards in live production.

Registration is currently open and will be limited.
