MARK LEVINSON DEBUTS No433 POWER AMPLIFIER
— Expanding its range of 400 series power amplifiers, the new
No433 offers greater accessibility to the Mark Levinson legacy of superior
sound and unrivaled performance —
CEDIA EXPO, INDIANAPOLIS, IN, September 5, 2003 — The Harman
Specialty Group is pleased to announce the launch of the Mark Levinson
No433 power amplifier, the third product to become available this year
in the company’s new 400 series of power amplifiers.
Based on the No434 and No436 power amplifiers, the No433
is a triple-mono 200-watt power amplifier with all the authority and
finesse that distinguish the Mark Levinson sound. Featuring a compact
chassis and remarkable bottom-end heft and weight, the No433 takes command
of the music with astounding confidence, dynamics, and ease. Like all
400 series multi-mono power amplifiers, the No433 doubles its rated
8-ohm power at 4 ohms. Combine that with massive independent power supplies
for each channel, and the No433 is an appropriate companion for virtually
any loudspeaker. Unlike the No434 and No436, the new 400 series power
amplifiers are entirely convection cooled, and therefore do not require
fans. The new amplifiers feature individual heat sinks for each channel
to maintain a safe operating temperature while delivering continuous
output power. In addition, a balanced voltage-gain circuit allows the
400 series amplifiers to generate more precise signals with lower noise.
The balanced circuit includes ultra-high performance parts that allow
this advanced design to reach its full potential.
The 400 series power amplifiers represent significant
advancements compared to their predecessors. They are better sounding,
more powerful, physically smaller, rack mountable, and the best value
to date in Mark Levinson amplifiers, as well as the first series to
feature an amplifier with more than two channels. The three new multi-mono
400 series power amplifiers effectively replace the popular 300 series
as the entry level Mark Levinson power amplifiers. The dual-mono No432
and No431 are available now and triple-mono No433 is expected to ship
by the end of the year.
