GUITAR CENTER PROFESSIONAL
— One of the world’s leading film and video post production
studios purchases
Digidesign Pro Tools HD3 surround-capable workstations, along with
surround monitoring, Apple computers and more —
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA, February 28, 2008 –
The OSCAR® and EMMY®-Award-winning Warner Bros. Studios Post
Production Sound Department has expanded its recording, editing and
mixing capacity with the addition of a number of units purchased through
Guitar Center Professional (GC Pro), the outside sales division of Guitar
Center that focuses on the needs of professional users. The new gear
includes 13 new Digidesign Pro Tools HD surround systems, as well as
13 new Apple Mac Pro computers, Dynaudio Air 6 Series 2-way Active Nearfield
monitoring for each of the new Pro Tools rigs and a corresponding number
of KK Audio workstation furniture pieces. The equipment will be used
by Warner Bros. Studios Post Production Sound Department on a wide range
of film and television projects.
One of the world’s most technologically advanced
post production facilities, Warner Bros. Studios Post Production Sound
Department offers several re-recording stages, as well as numerous sound
editorial/design suites and DVD audio mastering suites, all equipped
with Pro Tools HD systems. Now it is the first major motion picture
re-recording facility to offer fully automated digital mixing desks
that can support up to 1,000 channel paths. Specific innovations include
soundproof editorial rooms on each stage that are fully networked to
allow editors seamless support both within the mixing environment and
to the Warner Bros. PPSnet, which connects each audio workstation with
a private audio/video network, providing gigabit connectivity throughout
the building for post production-related tasks. Further information
on Warner Bros. Post Production Services can be found at www.wbpostproduction.com.
“Warner Bros. Studios Post Production Sound Department
is an amazing facility, and we were pleased that we could help them
as they continue to expand their capacity,” says Derek Snyder,
Western Regional Manager for GC Pro, who managed the sale. “They
trust GC Pro to deliver professional solutions in a timely manner, with
very competitive pricing, expert knowledge and always-there support.”
