GUITAR CENTER PROFESSIONAL UNVEILS NEVE’S NEW
GENESYS CONSOLE TO THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MARKET
OVER THREE DAYS AT LEGENDARY OCEAN WAY RECORDING STUDIOS
125th AES CONVENTION, SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 3,
2008 — Guitar Center Professional (GC Pro), the outside sales
division of Guitar Center that focuses on the needs of professional
users, recently wrapped a successful three-day event at the legendary
Ocean Way L.A. Recording Studios. The event, presented in conjunction
with leading recording console manufacturer AMS Neve, marked a formal
unveiling and presentation of Neve’s new Genesys console to the
Southern California market. The L.A. event is part of a tour, with a
similar presentation recently occurring in Nashville and events planned
for other markets with a GC Pro presence.
At the event, members of the GC Pro team were joined by
Robin Porter, AMS Neve Head of Analogue Design, who personally designed
the Genesys. Attendees included prominent studio owners and engineers,
students, press and other key members of the industry. The event gave
them the opportunity to sit behind the console and be hands-on with
its actual operation, letting them experience the Genesys’ intricacies
          themselves.
“These three days saw GC Pro give a proud introduction
of the Genesys console to the Southern California market,” stated
Derek Snyder, GC Pro Director of Business Development (Western Region).
          “This is a game-changing, state-of-the-art product, and L.A. particularly
deserves to be on the cutting edge of all recording technology. The
event was an unquestioned success, and we look forward to being the
go-to provider of the Genesys for the Southern California market.”
