Top Songwriting Venue The Listening Room Cafe Upgrades Its Sound with Bose® RoomMatch® Loudspeakers

Nashville venue will debut Bose® RoomMatch® system at March 1st anniversary event

Framingham, Massachusetts, February 26, 2014 – Since its founding in Franklin, TN, in 2006, The Listening Room Cafe has become a Nashville institution, moving to Music City’s Cummins Station in 2008 and its new home downtown in early 2013 – nearly one year ago to the day. Owner Chris Blair, a singer-songwriter himself, has maintained his original intention: to offer Nashville songwriters a venue with the sound and atmosphere he felt they deserved. The new space’s audio recently got even better with the installation of a new RoomMatch® loudspeaker system from Bose® Professional Systems. The installation coincides with the one-year anniversary at the new location. To celebrate the occasion (and the new system), The Listening Room will be hosting an all-day event on Saturday, March 1, 2014 – known as the “Bose Party & Birthday Bash.” The event will feature hit songwriters and top talents throughout the day and is open to the public. The Listening Room Cafe is located at 217 2nd Ave S, Nashville, TN.

The sound system is flexible; with the flip of a switch it can accommodate full band stage performances or intimate acoustic “in-the-round” performances. The full system consists of the following Bose components: two RM7020 modules, two RM12040 modules, ten RMU208 modules, one RMS218 subwoofer module and one Panaray® MB12-III modular bass loudspeaker, all powered by three PowerMatch® PM8500N amplifiers and a single PM4500N amplifier, with processing handled by a ControlSpace® ESP-4120 Engineered Sound Processor and CC-64 Control Center.

“I am very proud of where we have come in the last several years,” stated Blair. “Our new location downtown has been an incredible move and we are so excited for everything that is happening in Nashville right now. The birthday bash is to celebrate that anniversary and to offer a full day of great music and food/drink specials so everyone can come hang with us all day long. The awesome plus to the day is that we also get to celebrate our new Bose system. I have always loved the sound of Bose, and we used their L1® portable systems at the old Cummins Station location. The new RoomMatch system can handle the full band drive or acoustic performances with complete clarity. It's something you truly have to hear for yourself, and we invite everyone to come do just that while we celebrate all day long on Saturday, March 1st.”
