STOW, OH, May 11, 2017 Audio-Technica, a leading innovator in transducer technology for over 50 years, announces that it is now the exclusive microphone and headphone sponsor for the 2017 tour of High School Nation, the country’s largest secondary school touring music festival, with the goal of promoting the arts and music programs in high schools around the country. For the 2017 tour, they will be traveling to 60 schools to help set up permanent recording facilities in each school, as well as hosting presentations designed to encourage students to pursue a career in the arts while having a fun, immersive experience (events are usually set up on the school's football field).

As the tour’s official microphone/headphone sponsor, Audio-Technica will be supplying products for student giveaways at each school, as well as mic/headphone components to help outfit the schools’ new recording studios. Student giveaways include AT2005USB Cardioid Dynamic USB/XLR Microphones, and either ATH-M20x Professional Monitor Headphones or ATH-M30x Professional Monitor Headphones at each school. For the schools’ new recording studios, A-T is supplying AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Microphones and either ATH-M20x or ATH-M30x headphones.

Additionally, A-T is outfitting the mic complement for the High School Nation tour presentations themselves, featuring live music and Q&A sessions where students can ask the HSN crew questions and learn more about careers in the arts. For these events, A-T is providing three System 10 PRO Rack-Mount Digital Wireless Systems (ATW-1322 Dual-Channel configuration), along with numerous ATM230PK, ATM650 and ATM250 Hypercardioid Dynamic Instrument Microphones, ATM510 Cardioid Dynamic Handheld Microphones and ATH-M50x Professional Monitoring Headphones. Additional AT2020 mics will be used in High School Nation’s educational studios and podcasts.

Gary Boss, Audio-Technica Marketing Director, Professional Markets, remarked, “High School Nation is a great opportunity for Audio-Technica to make a positive impact on the next generation of music creators and music lovers. It really helps remind me why I got into this business in the first place. It’s a great hands-on experience for the student body and boost to the school’s music programs.”
