Re-Airing of the “Project Kids-Care” Telethon Streaming
on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 3:00 p.m. PST


Stars come out to support the Get Together Foundation’s streaming concert event, raising funds for children’s charities for the upcoming holidays.

Project Kids-Care will re-air on www.alerttheglobe.com as well as http://facebook.com/RockCellarMagazine/live on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 3:00 p.m. PST, with additional airing to be announced next week.

Los Angeles, CA, December 11, 2020 – The team behind the recent successful online streaming telethon event “Project Kids-Care,” which brought together several dozen renowned entertainers who united to raise funds for underserved children during the holidays, announces that, due to popular demand, the program will be re-airing on www.alerttheglobe.com as well as http://facebook.com/RockCellarMagazine/live on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 3:00 p.m. PST; and once more before Christmas, date TBA.

Originally streamed on Saturday, November 28, 2020, over Thanksgiving weekend, Project Kids-Care features video performances and appearances from notable musicians, actors, sports and TV personalities, and celebrities of all kinds contributing songs and inspiring messages about Peace, Love & Understanding and the holidays. The event was produced by the Get Together Foundation (GTF), in association with Rock Cellar Productions and was live-streamed through Alert the Globe (www.alerttheglobe.com) and also aired on Facebook Live, as well as on ABC7.com. It was free to watch, and viewers donated through a text-to-donate code visible throughout the stream. Donations to the Project Kids-Care campaign are still welcome. To donate, text the word “TOGETHER” to 24365.

Another aspect of the Get Together Foundation’s end-of-the-year charity campaign is the Project Kids-Care Online Auction, which is closing at 11:59 pm PST on December 13, 2020. Auction items include a signed guitar by The Doors’ Robby Krieger, a basketball signed by Lakers great Magic Johnson, Monkees memorabilia signed by Micky Dolenz, other music and sports memorabilia, exotic vacation experiences, hotel/restaurant packages, beauty baskets, and other items guaranteed to delight and surprise. 100% of the proceeds will go to Project Kids-Care.

The telethon was hosted in segments by four engaging, compelling and delightful celebrity emcees including Heartbreakers’ drummer Steve Ferrone, Christina and David Arquette, Monkees legend Micky Dolenz, and hit singer/songwriter Dan Navarro. Highlights included musical performances from Kenny Loggins, Don Felder (formerly of the Eagles), Larkin Poe, Kenny G, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Vivino with Mike Merritt and James Wormworth, Pablo Cruise, Mindi Abair, Brian McKnight, War, Marc Broussard, GTF’s house band The Tribe, a surprise previously unannounced performance from Bernard Fowler (backing vocalist for The Rolling Stones), and a world premiere of Davey Johnstone’s new video and song “All the Time in the World” featuring singer Vanessa Bryan. And in addition to performances, several stars gave recorded shoutouts, including Jack Black, Joe Jonas, Dionne Warwick, The Boxmasters (Billy Bob Thornton & JD Andrew), Cybill Shepherd, Michelle Phillips, Jon Anderson of YES, Los Angeles City Councilmember John Lee, Dodgers great Steve Yeager, and over a dozen others. Proceeds are going to the following charity organizations for their programs and services for kids: Get Together Foundation (food & shelter); 100 Black Men (mentoring & education); Valley Cultural Foundation (arts & education); Spark of Love Toy Drive (toys & sports equipment); and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (healthcare).
