In This GRAMMY® Professional Development Series Event, Industry Innovators Will Share How They Achieve Success Outside The Boundaries Of The Conventional Music Industry

WHO: Panel moderator Mike Clink, a producer/engineer best known for his work with such legendary bands as Aerosmith, Guns 'N Roses, and Metallica. Panelists include Founder of Natural Energy Lab, a Los Angeles-based music marketing company specializing in film, television and commercial placement, Danny Benair; music coordinator and supervisor for numerous television shows, films and soundtracks Alexandra Patsavas; Founder/President of Tommy Tallarico Studios, the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) and the successful and ground breaking live concert event "Video Games Live" Tommy Tallarico and pop/rock band The 88 whose music has been featured in such films as Failure To Launch, Surviving Christmas, and You, Me And Dupree, as well the TV shows "Grey's Anatomy," "The O.C.," and "One Tree Hill."

Established in 1957, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Inc., also known as The Recording Academy, is an organization of musicians, producers, engineers and recording professionals that is dedicated to improving the cultural condition and quality of life for music and its makers. Internationally known for the GRAMMY Awards, The Recording Academy is responsible for groundbreaking professional development, cultural enrichment, advocacy, education and human services programs — including the creation of the national public education campaign What's The Download® (WhatsTheDownload.com®). The Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter, also founded in 1957, holds the distinction of being the organization's first and largest Chapter. Currently, 6,000 professionals comprise the Producers & Engineers Wing. This organized voice for the creative and technical recording community addresses issues that affect the craft of recorded music, while ensuring its role in the development of new technologies, recording and mastering recommendations, and archiving and preservation initiatives. The Wing builds on the existing regional professional development activities of The Recording Academy, which include workshops, forums and panel discussions, and other recording technology-related events, all occurring locally and nationally throughout the year.
