Walpole, MA, USA, June 11, 2026 — “Can Wireless Audio be as Good as Wired?” That question will be answered with a “Yes!” on June 18 at 8:15AM in room W228/W229, in an InfoComm training session led by industry veteran Bob Lee – an applications engineer and trainer for leading innovator in essential antenna and RF distribution solutions for wireless audio systems, RF Venue (booth C9519).
“Stop dismissing dropouts, noise, and other problems in wireless audio with, ‘Well, that’s wireless!’ It doesn't have to be that way,” says Lee, previewing the session. “With planning, suitable components and an understanding of basic RF principles, we can make wireless mics and in-ear monitors (IEMs) work with reliability and performance that rivals wired systems.”
In the one-hour session, “We’ll cover how audio gets sent over radio waves and how to keep the links between transmitters and receivers unbroken,” Lee elaborates. “We’ll look at the strengths and weaknesses of different antenna types, RF systems (distribution and combining) and good practices for ensuring that your wireless audio works flawlessly. We’ll also cover wireless audio system and project planning with reliability and performance in mind.”
Lee has more than 45 years of professional audio engineering experience, is a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society, a ham radio operator and author of numerous tutorial articles for trade magazines plus gear application guides, user manuals and service manuals. At RF Venue, Lee conducts training and webinar sessions and provides applications support to end users, potential customers and sales channel personnel.
