This year’s event also included the very popular Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament. The event was organized by Karen Dunn of KMD Productions, LLC, and was once again held in support of the music program at A Place Called Home, a dynamic community center and safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where underserved youth 8-21 years old are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being.

Recording veterans Ed Cherney and Al Schmitt returned as Honorary Co-Chairs for the afternoon’s festivities. Participants included a who’s-who of the audio industry, including noted composer and producer CJ Vanston, engineer/producer Jim Scott, Steve Genewick of Capitol Studios, Gavin Lurssen of Lurssen Mastering, engineer/producer Dave Reitzas, Toby Rand and Gary Beers of INXS, producer/engineer Rafa Sardina, Andy Tompkins of NAMM/TEC Awards, Paul Sandweiss of Sound Design Corporation, Steven Slate of Slate Companies and dozens more.
