WAVES AUDIO MOURNS THE LOSS OF TAL HERZBERG

KNOXVILLE, TN, April 12, 2011 Waves Audio mourns the passing of a longtime friend, producer/engineer and multi-talented musician Tal Herzberg. Tal is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Tal’s involvement with Waves goes back to its very beginnings, when he became the company’s first official U.S. West Coast user, forging a close association that continued and developed until his untimely passing. He was one of Waves’ first employees, and through his immense success as an engineer and producer, Waves proudly transitioned Tal to one of its most important Artists. Tal often credited his early experiences with Pro Tools and Waves as having contributed to his subsequent success in the highly competitive Los Angeles music industry.

Tal was a six-time GRAMMY® nominee. His lengthy list of credits as a producer and engineer includes high-profile artists from across the musical spectrum, including Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige, The Pussycat Dolls, Counting Crows, Macy Gray, Keyshia Cole and Queen Latifah. An accomplished musician as well, Tal performed and recorded as a bassist with artists including The Corrs, Beth Hart and Mya.

Gilad Keren, Waves founder and CEO, stated, “Tal was a very talented musician and engineer, but more than that, he was a close personal friend. He was the kind of guy you could call at any time of the day or night, and he’d be there for you. Personally, I feel a tremendous loss.”
