MELVILLE, NY, October 25, 2010 — VOX Amplification is pleased to announce that its amplifiers have been chosen for use in the new Broadway spectacular SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, with performances beginning November 14, 2010. The show features music and lyrics by Bono and long-time VOX user The Edge, and is by co-book writers Glen Berger and Julie Taymor, who is also directing the musical. Throughout each performance, audiences will hear the signature chime and growl of the VOX Hand-Wired AC30 guitar amplifier. VOX supplied four hand-wired AC30 heads and matching cabinets to be used in the show.
SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark preview performances begin November 14, with opening night set for December 21 at the Foxwoods Theatre in midtown Manhattan (213 W. 42nd St).
