AUTOGRAPHED MCCARTNEY AMP RAISES OVER $7000
FOR NO MORE LANDMINES
MELVILLE, NY, July 8, 2008 — The eBay auction to win a hand-wired VOX AC15H1TV guitar amplifier signed by Sir Paul McCartney closed recently, having raised $7700 for the charity No More Landmines.
Rob Castle, VOX Amplification’s Managing Director, had this to say about the auction: "We at VOX are proud to have worked with Paul and his team on this campaign and we are very pleased with the result."
Sir Paul has led a host of celebrities in signing a petition calling for a ban on cluster munitions.
Sir Paul said, “Cluster bomblets and anti-personnel mines are unacceptable when they kill and injure innocent civilians including children. I call upon individuals, organizations and politicians to do all they can to remove and reduce the impact of these weapons for future generations.“
