VOX AND CARL VERHEYEN PACK ALVAS MUSIC DURING RECENT ALL-DAY EVENT AND CHARITY PERFORMANCE

MELVILLE, NY, June 8, 2009 — Alvas Music – a leading musical instrument retailer servicing southern California – played host to an ambitious full-day event featuring VOX Amplification, VOX guitars, and guitarist Carl Verheyen. The event was topped off by a charity performance benefiting the local Boys and Girls Clubs.
During the day, VOX specialist Freddy DeMarco demonstrated the new JamVOX guitar practice system and VOX amplifiers. Guitar ace Carl Verheyen then appeared and signed CDs for his eager fans. In the afternoon, Verheyen took the stage with his new VOX Virage guitar and conducted a workshop and clinic for guitarists of all ages. The crowd listened intently as Verheyen discussed his own career, shared his playing tips and tricks, and discussed the ins and outs of life as a session musician – and how to be a successful one.
To top off the evening, Carl Verheyen and his trio took the stage and performed an in-store concert performance, with proceeds from all ticket sales benefitting the Boys and Girls Clubs of L.A. Harbor. Verheyen played his VOX Virage guitar, powered through the legendary VOX AC30 amplifier. Eager to entertain the crowd, he mentioned that he had recently used his Virage™ guitar on numerous music sessions on the soundtrack of the latest Star Trek movie.
