SKB SHIPS THE ULTIMATE PEDALBOARD: THE STAGEFIVE™ PROFESSIONAL
PEDALBOARD SYSTEM
— Company brings to market an active, professional pedal management
system
that accommodates any possible configuration of effects pedals —
ORANGE, CA, October 10, 2007 — Following
closely on the heels of the announcement of its 30th anniversary, SKB
has responded to the needs of working musicians with the innovative
SKB-PS-55 stagefive™ Professional Pedalboard. Designed specifically
for use in live and studio performance applications, the SKB-PS-55 stagefive
is an all-in-one solution that organizes, securely transports and powers
all of the users stomp boxes and effects. The SKB-PS-55 stagefive is
now shipping and available at authorized SKB dealers throughout North
America.
The stagefive electronics have been designed to accommodate
any possible configuration of pedals including: (2) 1.3 amp VAC jacks
for powering pedals from DigiTech® and Line 6; (2) variable DC jacks
to allow any voltage from 4 – 12 volts, for simulating an “almost”
dead battery; (4) standard 9 VDC jack for Boss®, Electro-Harmonix®,
etc.; (1) 18 VDC jack for MXR® EVH Flanger, etc.; (1) 24 VDC jack
for boutique and vintage pedals: and (2) 9/12 VDC jacks to accommodate
additional boutique and vintage pedals. All DC jacks have polarity switches
so “center negative” or “center positive” can
be accommodated. The power is also filtered, regulated and short circuit
protected to provide the cleanest, most consistent signal. A detachable
main power cord with a 115/230 VAC power supply is also provided so
the stagefive can be used domestically as well as internationally.
Other features of the SKB-PS-55 stagefive Professional
Pedalboard include a built-in cable tester, a headphone amp for silent
practice backstage or at home, and a buffered preamp for long cable
runs or different types of pick-ups. The stagefive also has an ergonomically
designed angled mounting surface with a built-in cable management feature
to eliminate disassembling the board in order to route cables, while
also making it easier to reach all of the pedals.
Additionally the SKB-PS-55 stagefive Professional Pedalboard
incorporates SKB’s rugged, time-tested design and features a durable
hard cover for maximum protection on the road and a cushioned rubber
overmolded handle for a secure and comfortable grip. The SKB stagefive
