SKB SHIPS 20" ROLLING SHOCK RACK
WITH CONVENIENT NEW FEATURES— New model includes wheels and pull handle —
ORANGE, CA, April 8, 2008 — SKB Corporation, a leader in the protection and transport of musical instruments, electronics and gear, has begun shipping its new 6U 20" rolling Shock Rack case (model number 3SKB-R06U20W). The new unit enhances previous SKB offerings by adding wheels and a sturdy pull handle, as well as updated TSA lock trigger latches and upgradeable elastomeric shocks.
As with all SKB shockmount cases, the rolling Shock Rack provides a rotationally molded tough shell with integrally molded valiance, and it comes standard with eight elastomeric shocks (load range 40 to 150 lbs). The load range can be enhanced by adding an additional shock on each mounting point (load range 300 lbs).
A new feature is the inclusion of SKB trigger latches with TSA locks, which allow for TSA screeners to exclusively unlock cases for security checks while keeping the contents otherwise locked and secure. SKB is the only case manufacturer to utilize this technology. Other standard features include a rubberized-gasket around the door to seal out dust and water, as well as stacking lugs. All trigger latches and handles are flush-mounted, so as to not disturb the cases’ profile and stackability.
The 6U model will be joined by 4U and 8U models in summer 2008, making available several different solutions for the pro audio and live touring markets.
