FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAE INSTITUTE IMPLEMENTS HIGH-TECH STUDENT TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVE WITH
NEW LAPTOP PROGRAM
— All U.S. SAE Institute students will now be outfitted
with audio-enhanced Apple iBook G4 laptop computers
and a Digidesign Pro Tools System —
SAE Institute, a world leader in pro media education for over 25 years,
is proud to announce its latest educational initiative, which will equip
all newly enrolled U.S. students with individual laptop computers by
mid-summer. Fully-loaded Apple iBooks will be given to each student
upon enrollment, serving as a standard format from which student interactivity
can flourish with a newly enhanced curriculum.
Beginning this summer, each student enrolling in SAE Institute’s
Audio Technology Programs offered in New York, Nashville, and Miami,
will be provided with an Apple iBook G4 1GHz laptop configured with
a host of applications for both classroom and personal use. The iBooks
will come standard with 512 MB of RAM, an Airport Extreme Wireless Network
Card, and Apple Remote Desktop client software. Apple’s Soundtrack
software will also be included, as well as a Digidesign Mbox with ProTools
LE. The computers will further be backed by the AppleCare Protection
plan, which offers a range of service and support products to ensure
long-term use and compatibility for students.
Commenting on the new student technology integration,
Tom Misner, SAE Institute’s Founder and CEO, stated, “We
are proud to offer this program to our students, and are excited to
provide them with this standardized set of technology as soon as they
walk through the door. Because of our close relationships and educational
partnerships within the industry, we can supply our students with some
crucial building blocks of today’s state of the art technology
from manufacturers that understand the importance of SAE’s educational
experience. SAE will be able to integrate our students’ in-class,
as well as off-campus projects, into our curriculum with an even greater
degree of compatibility and ease. Besides simply providing a great discount
to our students on the gear by including the laptops with their enrollment,
we are also giving them a solid foundation of standard tools they will
need not only during the program, but as they begin their career with
these tools after graduation,” Misner concludes.
