SAE INSTITUTE BEGINS NEW DIGITAL GAMES ANIMATION AND
DIGITAL POST PRODUCTION PROGRAMS AT MIAMI CAMPUS

MIAMI, FL, June 21, 2006
— SAE Institute, the world's leader in professional audio and digital multimedia education, has announced the creation of its new Digital Games Animation and Digital Post Production programs, which will begin on September 18, 2006 at the SAE Miami campus. The new courses will offer students full-term educational paths in the growing entertainment media industry areas of visual FX and 3-D games animation, as well as providing a complete and in-depth curriculum for serious multimedia artists and developers.

Digital Games Animation Program
SAE Institute is taking professional Digital Games Animation training to the next level, offering courses that provide professional instruction and creative focus for students pursuing active careers in the digital animation and video game development fields. With the proliferation of next generation game consoles and enhanced gaming experiences, the demand for exciting and realistic new games and interactive multimedia has spawned a need for advanced game animators and graphics specialists. SAE's Digital Games Animation program is specifically designed to provide professional training in creative process development, character development and design, 3D animation, graphic texturing and scene lighting, as well as business management tactics.

Digital Post Production Program
The Visual FX industry continues to push creative barriers, allowing audiences to experience cinematic story telling and ultra-realistic digital renderings with a level of quality never before possible. SAE Institute’s intensive Digital Post Production program offers focused practical training on the latest post-production consoles and workstations, digital video equipment, and other digital production tools. Students will also gain full working knowledge of standard and advanced industry techniques in areas such as rotoscoping, live action compositing, 3-D animatic development, non-linear editing, HD camera operation and practical digital media distribution.

Students enrolling in either the Digital Games Animation or Digital Post Production programs, as with all SAE Institute diploma-awarding programs, will receive a professional production-quality laptop computer and an array of relevant professional software from leading manufacturers in the digital multimedia production industry. These will integrate seamlessly with SAE Miami campuses' networked group of high-end animation and compositing workstations, studios, and editing suites. Classes will be based around SAE's consistent and effective strategy of combining practical materials and classroom learning, hands-on demonstration techniques, relevant industry interaction and special guest lecturers for a well-rounded and practical education for these high-demand areas of expertise.
