123rd AES CONVENTION, NEW YORK, NY, October 5, 2007
— SAE Institute, the world leader in pro audio and multimedia
education for over 30 years, announces its latest educational initiative,
which will equip all newly enrolled U.S. students with a pair of ULTRASONE
HFI-550 professional headphones. These advanced headphones, which feature
ULTRASONE‘s S-Logic™ Natural Surround Sound System, will
allow students enrolled in SAE Institute’s Audio Technology Program
to monitor their coursework at a fully professional level, vastly enhancing
their educational experience as well as providing a consistent headphone
monitoring environment throughout the class. All newly enrolling students
in SAE’s Audio Technology Program will receive a pair of the HFI-550
headphones, along with the other technology platforms provided by SAE,
including an Apple MacBook, M-Audio MobilePre, Pro Tools Academic and
BIAS Peak LE. This technology complement is included in the cost of
tuition and is part of SAE’s ongoing technology initiative that
strives to make its students better prepared to learn real-world audio
techniques while in school and build stronger, more lucrative careers
upon graduation.
In addition, the newly opened SAE Atlanta campus is already
completely outfitted with the
HFI-550 headphones, and the other four SAE campuses, in New York, Los
Angeles, Miami and Nashville, will do the same in coming months. Furthermore,
SAE students can purchase additional ULTRASONE products at special academic
pricing via SAE’s Student Discount Portal (http://www.sae-usa.com/stud_offer.php).
The HFI-550 headphone offers precise and detailed instrument
placement, with tight powerful bass, depth and dimension, all with an
impressive power spectrum. The HFI-550’s S-Logic™ technology
allows for effective listening to take place at significantly lower
levels, reducing sound pressure levels to the eardrum by up to 40 percent.
Commenting on SAE’s ongoing student technology integration,
Tom Misner, SAE Institute’s Founder and CEO, stated, “It
is our goal to supply our students with the crucial building blocks
of today’s state-of-the-art technology from manufacturers that
understand the importance of SAE’s educational experience. The
ability to monitor critically and accurately is crucial to the learning
experience in audio production. So now SAE students have yet another
advantage in that regard.
