SAE INSTITUTE NASHVILLE WELCOMES THE LEGENDARY
ALAN PARSONS FOR 2 DAYS OF INDUSTRY WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS
123rd AES CONVENTION, NEW YORK, NY, October 5, 2007 —
SAE Institute, the world leader in pro audio and multimedia education,
is pleased to announce that pro audio icon Alan Parsons will host the
latest of its acclaimed in-studio events to be held at SAE’s Nashville
campus on October 26th. Additionally, SAE will host two master class
sessions by Parsons on October 27th, to be held at the Musicians Hall
of Fame facilities located in downtown Nashville. Parsons, who has also
been featured in SAE’s highly successful Platinum Panel events,
will be sharing his insightful views into recording and mixing, as well
as the dynamic state of the music industry and what it takes for students
to become top industry professionals.
Parsons draws from his vast experience on both sides of
the glass with 30-plus years as one of the world’s most sought-after
engineers and producers, including his legendary work on monumental
projects such as The Beatles Abbey Road album and Pink Floyd’s
Dark Side of the Moon. SAE students will be given the chance to share
the studio with Parsons and gain valuable first-hand experience while
tracking a full band using SAE’s state-of-the-art SSL studio.
Parsons will further offer SAE Nashville students and alumni an intimate
look into the production process of some of the best selling albums
of all time, including projects from his own musical career with The
Alan Parsons Project, lending a unique alternate perspective to these
in-studio discussions and events. Live, in-studio audio and video will
also be broadcast to other parts of the campus and documented for additional
study.
The following day, October 27th, SAE Institute is sponsoring
two additional lecture sessions from 10:00am –12:00 noon and from
2:00pm-4:00pm at Nashville’s new Musicians Hall of Fame museum.
During these events, which will be open to the public, Parsons will
delve further into his own musical history and career highlights, while
also utilizing choice audio materials for playback during these engaging
discussions.
Tickets are available for $35 for the general public (special
rates for SAE students and alumni) and may be reserved by contacting
SAE Institute’s Nashville campus at 615-244-5848 or by emailing
