MARSHALL ENDORSEE ZAKK WYLDE INDUCTED INTO
GUITAR CENTER HOLLYWOOD ROCKWALK®
MELVILLE, NY, January 27, 2006 — To honor his nearly 20 years as one of heavy metal’s most renowned and respected lead guitarists, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society guitarist and songwriter Zakk Wylde was recently inducted into the Hollywood RockWalk®. The ceremony, held the week of the 2006 Winter NAMM show, immortalized Wylde as he cast his handprints and signature into the famous RockWalk that encircles the entrance to Guitar Center’s Sunset Strip location.Speakers at the event included Rob Zombie and the legendary Ozzy Osbourne himself, as well as Marshall Amplification USA product manager Nick Bowcott, who read a letter from Jim Marshall congratulating his friend and now fellow RockWalk inductee (Dr. Marshall was inducted in 1985). The gala event also attracted many rock stars including Zakk’s fellow Marshall user Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead and guests representing the City of Los Angeles, as well as L.A. radio and television stations plus members of the music industry press.
