ZAKK WYLDE VISITS THE GUV’NOR
— World famous heavy metal shredder pays a call to the Marshall factory —
MELVILLE, NY, July 28, 2005 — Legendary Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde recently took a break from the European leg of his 2005 “Mafia” World Tour to visit his good friend, Dr. Jim Marshall, at Marshall Amplification’s worldwide headquarters in Milton Keynes, England.While there, the two music icons posed for photos and Wylde picked up a limited edition Marshall 1962JAG amplifier — a gold-plated “Bluesbreaker” combo covered in white leather by the world renowned Jaguar Car Company and one of only forty made. As a memento of this auspicious occasion, the guitarist left his own unique calling card: his very own, custom-made Black Label Society leather biker vest– the one he has worn for every single Black Label show since the band’s birth in 1998. Dr. Marshall is having this famous jacket framed and it will hang above Wylde’s signature 2203ZW amp in the Marshall Museum.
