MARSHALL HITS THE ROAD WITH JOE SATRIANI AND CHICKENFOOTMELVILLE, NY, July 2, 2009 — Marshall Amplification has announced that Joe Satriani recently selected the Marshall JVM410H as his on-stage touring amp with the band Chickenfoot. The band launched their European tour on June 20th and will return to the USA for dates in August and September.
After arriving in the UK for the band’s first European dates, Joe toured the Marshall factory and borrowed a few amps for rehearsal. After auditioning the amps, Joe loved the tone of the JVM Series and chose the JVM410H amplifier. Supporting the amp head will be a pair of greenback-loaded Marshall 4 x 12" straight speaker cabinets. Satriani comments, “I'm just looking to achieve the best guitar sound every moment I’m plugged in, and that brought me back to Marshall Amps.”
Chickenfoot is a supergroup composed of Joe Satriani, Van Halen veterans Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Their debut album entered the Billboard album charts in the #4 position.
