SLASH ACTION FIGURE UNVEILED
— Famed guitarist and his Marshall amps immortalized by McFarlane Toys —
WINTER NAMM SHOW, ANAHEIM, CA, January 19, 2006 — McFarlane Toys, one of the world’s premier action figure producers, has unveiled their newest creation, the Slash action figure. Working in close conjunction with the legendary rock guitarist and Marshall Amplification, McFarlane has created a 6-inch tall, true-to-life replica of the rocker and his rig. The action figure comes complete with accurate recreations of Slash’s trademark top hat, guitar and Marshall backline, all sitting atop a sturdy “stage” base.Two versions are available: the first will feature the action figure, accessories, and a replica Marshall amp and speaker cabinet. The Deluxe Boxed version will include an additional Marshall amp and speaker cab plus a larger stage. When asked about the project earlier in the year, Slash told Marshall’s annual magazine, Marshall Law, “It’s pretty cool. To be immortalized in plastic, who would’ve thought! It’s such an overwhelming concept that I don’t think I’ve really digested it yet.”
