FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JOHN 5 AND MARSHALL MODE FOUR
ADD UP TO A POWERFUL PERFORMANCE
NAMM SUMMER SESSION, NASHVILLE, TN, July 23, 2004
— John 5’s aggressive and skillful guitar chops have
earned him a place along side many accomplished artists. Reflecting
his diverse musical taste and the breadth of his abilities, he has collaborated
with Lita Ford, k.d. lang, David Lee Roth, Rob Halford and most recently
Marilyn Manson.
While working on his forthcoming solo debut, Vertigo,
John 5 found Marshall’s MODE FOUR amplifier capable of supporting
his unique sound, both in terms of its sheer power and flexible design.
Explaining MODE FOUR’s appeal, he remarks, “Marshall is
famous for their great crunchy, heavy sound, but I also really enjoy
the MODE FOUR’s clean sound.” He adds, “I use it for
chicken-pickin’ and all that stuff — it’s hard to
find a really crisp, clean sound, so it’s something else that
sold me on the amp.” John 5 elaborates on his use of this acclaimed
amp, together with his other Marshall gear: “I used the MF for
recording my new instrumental, solo album. I also use it for live shows
along with the [rackmount] JMP-1 preamp and EL34 100/100 power amp,
which I use for recording too. So I actually double the sound I get
from MODE FOUR with the JMP-1 and the EL34 100/100.”
Vertigo is an eclectic instrumental offering that will
showcase John 5’s expansive talent. Scheduled for release in late
August, it features his electrifying take on rock and country music,
fused with some unexpected elements including bluegrass. For more information,
