TV DRAMA SERIES, INSTANT STAR
MELVILLE, NY, August 8, 2005 — Instant Star, a new hit show on the “N” channel (a nighttime TV network for teens) has taken the young adult market by storm. Starring newcomer
Alexz Johnson (So Weird, The Chris Isaak Show, Scooby-Doo 2), the show centers around 15-year-old singer and guitarist Jude Harrison, who has just won a national singer/songwriter contest and a recording contract. The series explores the drama, personalities and relationships surrounding a young songwriter experiencing newfound fame. Throughout the show’s premiere season, a Marshall MODE FOUR Stack was used by the main character and her band.In addition to her duties on Instant Star, Johnson — a real-life talent show winner — wrote and sang most of the original songs for the series. The songs were released as a soundtrack CD (Orange Records) this past winter.
