NAMM WINTER SESSION, ANAHEIM, CA, January
15, 2004 — Shortly after their formation in high
school, The Donnas became a powerful influence amongst their
peers. They soon skyrocketed to fame with a series of successful
albums and extensive tours. The Donnas’ current album,
Spend the Night (Atlantic Records), offers a balance of
punk attitude and pop sensibility, and drives fans to their
high-voltage live shows.
In addition to their showmanship, The Donnas
are known for their technical prowess. Guitarist Allison
Robertson (Donna R) is committed to advancing her skills,
and one element she consistently relies on for great sound
is her Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 amp. Robertson comments on
her affection for Marshall amps, “I’m completely
dependent on my JCM2000 DSL for both power and tone. Countless
people have approached me and asked what pedals I use to
achieve my sound. The answer is NONE. I don’t need
any. The JCM2000 is simple, reliable, and essential.”
