MELVILLE, NY, November 16, 2006 — Pop rock singer/songwriter,
keyboardist and guitarist Marion Raven comes to the U.S. with her Heads
Will Roll EP. She collaborated with Meat Loaf on his new single “It’s
All Coming Back to Me,” and is touring with him in support of
his Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose release. Raven has also
worked with Everclear, members of Buckcherry, and Mötley Crüe’s
Nikki Sixx, co-writer on “Heads Will Roll.”
She’s picked up a Korg SP-250 Digital Piano, and
comments, “For me it’s really important that the piano sound
is as good as a real piano. The 250 has that plus a real weighted action.”
It’s a songwriting staple in her new L.A. home along with hotel
rooms the world over, as she says: “I can just plug my keyboard
in and write songs in the middle of the night without having to carry
around large speakers.” As another benefit, she notes, “It’s
amazing how light it is.”
