KORG RELEASES FREE LEGACY COLLECTION
DEMO VERSION
MELVILLE, NY, October 8, 2004 — Korg announces
the availability of a new demo version of its acclaimed Legacy Collection
of virtual instruments and effects plug-ins. It allows musicians to
experience/audition much of Legacy Collection’s sound and functionality
in their own personal environment, before purchasing.
The new version has been posted to korg.com, for quick
and easy access. Both Mac OSX and Windows XP demo versions are available.
“We’re responding to the clear wishes of customers in the
marketplace, who like to try before they buy,” states Korg USA
Product Manager Jerry Kovarsky. “It can be hard to really judge
the higher sound quality of our synths in a store environment. At home,
the user can bring up the demo version in their DAW/software of choice
and try it in context with their other gear.”
The demo version can be downloaded for free from www.korg.com/legacy.
Korg has also released a new Macintosh version of the
Legacy Collection. Version 1.1.1 fixes AU handling in Logic 7, and the
use of the Legacy Collection synths in stand-alone mode with Digidesign’s
CoreAudio driver 6.5.x. This update can be downloaded for free by registered
users from www.korguser.net.
