KORG EXPANDS GUITAR/BASS TUNER
LINE WITH GT-120
— Dual display chromatic tuner also supports flat and open tuning,
seven-string guitars and six-string basses —
MELVILLE, NY, June 29, 2006 — Korg announces a new addition
to its family of award winning tuners: the GT-120 Guitar/Bass Chromatic
Tuner. Its dual display features a comprehensive backlit LCD screen
and a highly accurate (±1 cent) needle-type meter, plus two additional
sharp/flat LED indicators. The smooth action VU-style meter and LEDs
facilitate quick, accurate tuning, while the LCD displays the calibration
setting, flat mode, note name and battery level.
In addition to Auto and Manual modes, the GT-120 supports
five additional six-string guitar tunings (open E, A, D, G and DADGAD)
and is ideal for tuning seven-string guitars and six-string basses.
It also offers a flat tuning mode that can detect dropped pitches up
to four semi-tones below standard pitch.
A built-in microphone is provided for tuning acoustic
guitars and acoustic basses. An onboard reference tone oscillator can
produce audible pitches from C2 to C7 for tuning by ear (also perfect
for vocalists). The GT-120 also offers adjustable calibration in the
range of 438-445 Hz (1 Hz increments) and the ability to detect pitches
from A0-C8.
The Korg GT-120 is housed in a sleek black aluminum body
with 1/4" input and output jacks. The tuner can operate for over
100 hours on two AAA batteries or can be powered by an optional AC adapter.
A soft case is also included.
The GT-120 Guitar/Bass Chromatic Tuner is currently available
with a U.S. MSRP of $129.99.
