Instrumentalist Danny Rader Chooses Korg SV-1 Keyboard

MELVILLE, NY, August 4, 2011 — Danny Rader is an in-demand player on stage and in the studio. As a multi-instrumentalist, he plays keyboards, guitar, banjo, mandolin and bouzouki. Rader is currently playing keyboards with Keith Urban’s 2011 Get Closer World Tour, and the Korg SV-1 Stage Vintage Piano has been his rig of choice.

Drawn to the Korg SV-1 by its unique collection of sounds and interface, Rader explains, “It's just the meat and potatoes stuff that I need in my main board. Up until recently, I've been known in Nashville as a guitar player, primarily. And my brain works very much like a guitar player’s. Scrolling through banks of thousands sounds makes my head hurt! I just need great sounds there at the touch of a button.”

Rader shares an anecdote about the user-friendly SV-1 interface: “I love the radio button presets! It’s super easy to change settings and store on the fly. When my son was about 15 months old, I was letting him mess around on it, and while I wasn’t looking, he changed all of the presets to a string sample, canceling my presets for Keith’s show. Maybe there’s some marketing in that – ‘So easy, a baby can program it!’”

The Korg SV-1 contains a collection of realistic reproductions of the most in-demand keyboard sounds, all in a single instrument. It also re-creates the look, feel and visceral pleasure of performing on a vintage instrument.
