LARRY CARLTON CUSTOMIZES HIS PEDALBOARD SETUP
WITH KORG DTR-2000
MELVILLE, NY, June 21, 2005 — Over the past three decades, legendary guitar virtuoso Larry Carlton (14 time Grammy® nominated with 3 Grammy wins) has performed on hundreds of recordings, including over 100 Gold records with likes of Crusader, John Lennon and Steely Dan, as well as on numerous film soundtracks and television themes. He is also a member of his current jazz group, Fourplay.Carlton’s signature guitar sound combines warm jazz and blues tones, kept in range with the help of Korg tuners. Carlton now travels with a custom pedalboard that incorporates the Korg DTR-2000 digital rack mount tuner, selected for its high visibility, professional features, and ability to withstand the rigors of the road.

I rebuilt his pedal board (trademark pending) and actually rack mounted one in the center with an A/B switch for tuning his electric or acoustic. It’s a killer design and it works flawlessly! Carlton and his Sapphire Blues Band recently performed live for an XM Radio taping before embarking on their U.S. and international summer tour.
