KORG AMPWORKS FEATURED AT
NATIONAL MUSIC EDUCATORS CONFERENCE
MELVILLE, NY, April 5, 2004 — During the annual TI:ME/TMEA
(Technology Institute for Music Educators / Texas Music Educators Association)
Convention this past February in San Antonio, Korg’s Ampworks
modeling signal processor was highlighted as a product that is often
integrated into educational learning systems (such as group electric
guitar labs) at a variety of schools.
Shown in the photo is David Mash, VP for Information Technology
at Berklee College of Music, and renowned author, educator and guitarist.
During his hands-on session and address on group, electric guitar instruction
and desktop music production, he demonstrated how the Ampworks fits
into the lab environment by providing both audio input to the computer
as well as signal processing for the student’s guitar. "Ampworks
G allows students in the lab environment to hear realistic amp and effect
sounds while they practice in a near-silent classroom situation,"
said Mash during the session. Participants got a chance to see and hear
for themselves.
