KORG DISPLAYS AW-1 MICRO TUNER
FOR ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENTS
NAMM SUMMER SESSION, NASHVILLE, TN, July 23, 2004 — Korg,
a leader in tuner technology, shows its AW-1 Micro Tuner, offering precision
and versatility for acoustic instruments. This compact, lightweight
tuner provides quick, accurate, auto-chromatic tuning of traditional
band and orchestra instruments, as well as acoustic guitar and bass.
The Micro Tuner offers a wide tuning range (A0-C8), with
support for 12 equal temperaments. It also provides a wide calibration
adjustment of 410-480 Hz, as well as an easy-to-read, accurate display
denoting both cents and marked indicators for major and minor third
tuning.
Players can use the internal mic or the included piezo
pickup mic for picking up direct vibration from an instrument. They
can also select from two mounting clips (large and small) for attachment
to a variety of instrument types. In addition, the Micro Tuner can be
easily mounted to a mic or music stand.
A unique Meter Reverse Function enables the user to select
whether the LCD pitch display indicates high to low readings from left
to right, or in the opposite direction, facilitating flexible positioning
of the tuner. This increases the tuner’s versatility and enables
it to adapt to a variety of instruments and players.
The AW-1 Micro Tuner comes with a carrying case and mounting
clips, and runs on a standard Lithium battery. Auto Power Off and a
Memory Backup Function are also provided.
