HARMAN SPECIALTY GROUP NAMES ERIN TAYLOR
LEXICON BRAND MANAGER

BEDFORD, MA, January 20, 2004 — Harman Specialty Group (HSG), a Harman International Company (NYSE-HAR), has promoted Erin Taylor to the position of Lexicon Brand Manager. The announcement was made by John Batliner, HSG Executive Vice President of Sales, and further emphasizes the company’s ongoing commitment to the high-end consumer audio and entertainment market sector. As Lexicon Brand Manager, Erin Taylor will be actively involved in new product development and help coordinate the activities of Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Manufacturing to help maintain a strong brand direction and identity for Lexicon’s critically acclaimed line of consumer audio and home theater products.

A graduate of the Berklee College of Music where she majored in Audio Engineering, Taylor has worked at Lexicon for the past six years, first hired as a software tester in Quality Assurance. She then spent a year working in Technical Support before joining the International Sales department where she worked for two years as a Product Specialist, providing product training and sales support for Lexicon’s distribution channel. Erin was deeply involved with new product development, acting as Product Manager for several Lexicon products.

Commenting on the appointment, John Batliner stated, “Erin has a rich background in the audio industry as well as a far-reaching knowledge of Lexicon products. For the past six years, her work in International Sales, interfacing with our R & D department, as well as Erin’s extensive field experience with Lexicon distributors and end users, has provided her with a solid base to help Lexicon continue to expand in the coming years all the while strengthening our relationships with our global partners. Erin is truly a team player, and we value her contributions to Lexicon highly.”
