HARMAN SPECIALTY GROUP APPOINTS BARBARA JOHNSTONE
VICE PRESIDENT, CUSTOMER SERVICE
BEDFORD, MA, May 19, 2005— Harman Specialty Group, a Harman International Company (NYSE-HAR), has promoted Barbara Johnstone to Vice President, Customer Service for the renowned Mark Levinson, Revel and Lexicon product lines. John Batliner, Executive Vice President of Sales at Harman Specialty Group, announced the appointment, emphasizing that Johnstone’s longstanding commitment to the Harman Specialty Group family of brands has ensured a level of service and support that parallels the high quality of the company’s consumer audio products.
In her new position as Vice President, Customer Service, Johnstone will continue to provide Harman Specialty Group customers with knowledgeable assistance tailored to their individual needs. Johnstone originally joined Lexicon as a Technician in 1984, and was named Lead Technician the following year. She quickly progressed to Senior Systems Tech and then Test Department Supervisor before bringing her technical expertise to a role as Customer Service Manager. As other leading Harman brands have been added to Johnstone’s responsibilities, she has gained a thorough understanding of the home theater and consumer audio market, along with the importance of meeting customer demands with appropriate solutions and a true dedication to fostering lasting relationships.
