Lexicon® Offers Flagship ZX-7 Power Amplifier

Designed to Complement Lexicon®’s MC Digital Controllers, the Fully-Balanced, 7 Channel ZX-7 Power Amplifier Combines Pristine Sound Quality and High Output Power, Making It Perfect for Elite Home Entertainment/Media Rooms

CEDIA EXPO, DENVER, CO – Lexicon®, Inc., a Harman International company (NYSE: HAR), shows its flagship ZX-7 Power Amplifier. Featuring an impressive 300 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms (450 Watts per channel into 4 Ohms), the ZX-7 was specifically designed to complement Lexicon’s critically acclaimed MC series of Digital Controllers, and is equally at home as part of a world class stereo or multi-channel home entertainment system.

The ZX-7 is a fully balanced power amplifier from input to output with completely symmetrical circuit design. In other words, each channel consists of two complete amplifier circuits: one driving the positive input signal and the other driving the negative input signal. With 7 channels, this translates into 14 separate amplifier circuits per chassis. The advantage of this topology over single-ended designs is that it exhibits lower noise, lower distortion and immunity from stray electronic fields and anomalies in the input signal from outside interference. This results in significant audible benefits, including increased overall clarity and more pronounced differences between soft and loud passages that will satisfy the most demanding audiophile or home theater aficionado. Internally, the ZX-7 utilizes dual massive toroidal transformers and ample filter capacitance to ensure rock-solid low-frequency reproduction and plentiful power reserves.

The ZX-7 also employs heavy-duty, chassis-mounted input and output connectors including balanced audio inputs via RCA or XLR connectors. A trigger input connector (to power on and off with the preamp/processor) allows the amplifiers to be controlled with associated components such as the Lexicon series of preamp/processors.

Equipped with advanced thermal, current, DC and speaker protection, the ZX-7 power amplifier delivers reliable and exceptional performance with most loudspeakers, including mismatched, reactive and unusual loads. With embedded protection against short circuits, component failures, mis-wiring and internal faults, the ZX-7 represents Lexicon’s next generation of power amplifiers specifically designed for the most sophisticated and demanding home theater and two-channel audiophile applications.

The Lexicon ZX-7 Power Amplifier is available at an MSRP of $7999.00.
