GUITAR CENTER CARLE PLACE GRAND RE-OPENING HOSTS
FREE PERFORMANCES BY GRANDMASTER FLASH, BIZ MARKIE AND ENVY ON THE COAST
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA, July 8, 2008 — To
celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Guitar Center Carle Place’s
state-of-the-art music facility, on July 31st, 2008, the store will
host an event featuring live performances and high-profile guests, music
gear and electronics giveaways, one-time-only special discounts and
free food and drinks courtesy of Famous Dave’s Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que,
Rockstar Energy Drink and Starbucks.
Attendees will see performances by hip-hop legends Grandmaster
Flash and Biz Markie, as well as Long Island alternative rock band Envy
on the Coast and a live DVJ in front of the store. Evening giveaways
will include iPods, DVD players, Bose audio systems, Sony PlayStation®
products, Guitar Hero and Rock Band video game products, Guitar Center
gift cards and more, in addition to special one-night deals inside the
store.
To add to the night’s festive atmosphere, Long Island
businesses such as The Crazy Donkey Bar and Grill and Da Vinci Tattoo
Studio, plus leading music instrument manufacturers including Korg,
Pioneer, D’Addario and more, will line the parking lot with more
than 25 tents. Worldwide publications URB Magazine, Guitar World and
others will be on hand, joined by BET and the Village Voice. Also, radio
station “Hot 97” 97.1 WQHT-FM will be broadcasting live
on location.
