NATICK, MA, June 4, 2012 — Genelec Active Monitors is proud to be a featured partner in SSL’s new state-of-the-art broadcast production demonstration vehicle, which recently made a stop at this year’s National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas, NV. Built to showcase SSL’s latest in world-class console and broadcast equipment technology, the vehicle features a full complement of Genelec surround and stereo active monitoring, which integrated seamlessly with this compact-yet-accurate, modern work environment.
The complete Genelec audio monitoring system inside the vehicle includes an 8020.LSE Espresso 5.1 system, consisting of five Genelec 8020B two-way, bi-amplified active monitors matched with a Genelec 7050B LSE™ Series Active Subwoofer. Additionally, a pair of 6010A Bi-Amplified Active Monitors provide PFL (pre-fade listen) monitoring and a pair of 8030A Bi-Amplified Monitors supply audio for the outdoor display and demonstration area.
“This vehicle gives us a unique opportunity to take a sophisticated broadcast production environment out on the road to connect directly with our customers in their own locality,” says Piers Plaskitt, CEO of SSL Inc. “As we are featuring one of our premiere digital broadcast audio consoles, the C10 HD, having an accurate monitoring system was an imperative. The Genelec system covers both surround and stereo monitoring in elegant fashion, delivering the audio quality necessary for us to accurately demonstrate our console. We could not be happier with the sound of the Genelec systems.”
Will Eggleston, Genelec USA Marketing Director, said of the partnership, “We are really pleased to be able to show off our Genelec Espresso 5.1 surround system in such an ideally suited environment, here, in conjunction with the SSL Broadcast Vehicle. The entire installation takes integrated mobile broadcast facilities like this to the next level, and Genelec monitors continue to be a top choice for broadcast professionals.”
