GUITAR CENTER
PROFESSIONAL ANNOUNCES NEW ROYER R-121 RIBBON MICROPHONE SWEEPSTAKES
GIVEAWAY
— As part of its ongoing
sweepstakes series, GC Pro highlights award-winning Royer R-121, a $1295.00
value —
WESTLAKE
VILLAGE, CA, October 5, 2009 — Guitar
Center Professional (GC Pro), the outside sales division of Guitar
Center that focuses on the needs of professional users, announces the
second in its ongoing series of online sweepstakes at www.gcpro.com.
The new contest is now live and will run through December 31, shortly
after which a brand new contest will begin.
Several times
a year, GC Pro management will select one particular product from a
high-end gear manufacturer to feature on the website and give away as
that sweepstakes prize. This newly-announced second contest features
a Royer R-121 Ribbon Microphone, a $1295.00 value.
Released in 1998, the award-winning R-121 is Royer's flagship microphone.
The R-121 gives all of the warmth and natural sound that experienced
engineers have long turned to ribbon mics for, but in a compact, light-weight,
high output and tough-as-nails package. In its 10+ years in the market,
thousands of R-121’s have been sold around the world, and it’s
well established as a standard for tracking electric guitar and brass.
The first sweepstakes, which ran through September 30, featured a Solid
State Logic XLogic Alpha Channel, a $995.00 value.
To enter the
contest, users simply go to gcpro.com and click on the “Sweepstakes”
tab. There, entrants will complete and submit a short entry form. The
winner will then be selected at random and contacted after December
31, 2009. Complete rules can be found at gcpro.com.
“Our first
sweepstakes was a big success,” stated Rick Plushner, GC Pro Director.
“It accomplished many great things: it gave us a chance to feature
a favorite product from one of our valued brands; it drove traffic to
our recently re-launched gcpro.com; and it gave our loyal customer base
an earnest ‘thank-you’ from the GC Pro family. The second
contest, with the Royer ribbon mic, will very likely be just as successful,
and we look forward to watching the entries pour in through the end
of the year.”
