AUDIO-TECHNICA U.S. OFFERS 5-YEAR WARRANTY ON ITS ENGINEERED SOUND®, ARTIST ELITE®, 40 SERIES AND SELECTED BROADCAST & PRODUCTION PRODUCTS

INFOCOMM, LAS VEGAS, NV, June 9, 2010 — Audio-Technica (booth C6162), a world leader in transducer technology, is offering extended five-year warranties on a large portion of its product range, including Engineered Sound®, Artist Elite® wired and wireless, 40 Series and selected Broadcast & Production products.

Engineered Sound
The Audio-Technica Engineered Sound line is available only to the professional installed sound market via a network of specialized sound contractors and system integrators. The Engineered Sound line builds on A-T’s commitment to offering the fixed installation/sound contracting market the highest performance products, featuring RoHS compliance, full UniGuard® RFI immunity and the ability to meet international specifications. The Engineered Sound line also includes Audio-Technica’s ATCS-60Infrared Conference System. The ATCS-60 is a fully self-contained wireless distributed audio system using infrared communications technology, designed for corporate, government and educational applications. Additionally, the Engineered Sound line also includes the industry’s first-ever ultra wideband (UWB) wireless microphone system, Audio-Technica’s innovative SpectraPulse® UWB Wireless Microphone System. Unlike traditional FM carrier-based systems, the award-winning SpectraPulse System offers 14 simultaneous channels that operate flawlessly without RF turf wars, “white space” issues, frequency hunting/coordination or interference.

Artist Elite
Audio-Technica’s entire line of Artist Elite wired microphones, wireless microphone systems and wireless microphone system components now features a five-year warranty. All Artist Elite products purchased after January 1, 2010, through an authorized U.S. A-T dealer, come standard with this coverage. Included in the warranty are such critically acclaimed Audio-Technica products as the 4000 Series and 5000 Series Frequency-agile True Diversity UHF Wireless Systems, AE2500 Dual-element Cardioid Instrument Microphone, AE3000 Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone, AE3300 Cardioid Condenser Handheld Microphone, AE4100 Cardioid Dynamic Handheld Microphone, AE5100 Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone, AE5400 Cardioid Condenser Handheld Microphone and the AE6100 Hypercardioid Dynamic Handheld Microphone.

40 Series
All 40 Series microphones purchased through an authorized U.S. A-T dealer now come standard with a 5-year warranty. Recent purchases from authorized U.S. A-T dealers, going back to January 1, 2009, are also covered retroactively by this extended warranty. Included in this coverage are the AT4080 and AT4081Bidirectional Active Ribbon Microphones, AT4050STStereo Condenser Microphone and AT4047MPMulti-pattern Condenser Microphone, which debuted to much excitement earlier this fall. Also covered are classic 40 Series models such as the AT4040Cardioid Condenser Microphone and the AT4050Multi-pattern Condenser Microphone, among many others.

Broadcast & Production
The Broadcast & Production five-year warranty includes some of Audio-Technica’s most popular offerings for the broadcast and production market sectors — numerous shotgun, stereo, handheld and gooseneck mics in the product range are all eligible. Models include Audio-Technica’s new BP4001 Cardioid and BP4002 Omnidirectional Dynamic Interview Microphones. Also included are AT8004 and AT8004L Omnidirectional Dynamic Interview Microphones; AT8010 Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone;  AT8031 and AT8033 Cardioid Condenser Microphones;  AT8015, AT8035, AT875R, AT897, BP4071, BP4071L and BP4073 Line + Gradient Condenser Microphones; BP4027 and BP4029 Stereo Shotgun Microphones; BP4025 and AT8022 X/Y Stereo Microphones; AT849  Stereo Boundary Microphone; and AT808G Subcardioid Dynamic Console Microphone. This warranty is effective for all applicable products purchased from an authorized Audio-Technica U.S. dealer on or after January 1, 2010.
