Style Icon and British Royal India Hicks Returns to studio b.
— Special exhibit will feature Hicks’ collection of fine jewelry —
ALYS BEACH, FLORIDA, August 9, 2011 — Studio b., located in Alys Beach, Florida, welcomes back style icon, TV host and noted British Royal, India Hicks. On Wednesday, August 10, 2011, studio b. will be hosting the India Hicks Fine Jewelry Trunk Show, giving attendees a chance to step out of the summer heat to sip a refreshing cocktail and peruse Ms. Hicks’ fine jewelry collection.
India Hicks is familiar to many as having been one of Princess Diana’s bridesmaids; more recently, she offered charming and informative commentary about the nuptials of Prince William to Kate Middleton, and now she is introducing her beautiful fine jewelry line at studio b. Ms. Hicks, daughter of famed British interior decorator David Hicks, takes her inspiration from both her father’s strong and inimitable style, as well as the simplicity of island life. Her design sensibility is already well known, as evidenced in her role as host and judge of Bravo TV’s Top Design; her island style at the beautiful vacation properties she and her partner David Flint Wood designed and decorated at Hibiscus Hill Harbour Island in the Bahamas; and her inspiring books about interiors.
At studio b.’s opening three years ago, Ms. Hicks played hostess to the kickoff of what fast became the Emerald Coast’s salon-style arts hot spot. Three years later, Ms. Hicks says, “[studio b. founder] Colleen Duffley has a fearless relationship to life, and studio b. is a reflection of this. Creative, chic and civilized. It has been my pleasure to be present at the birth of studio b. and to watch its progress.”
The India Hicks Fine Jewelry Trunk Show will be featured, along with other studio b. experiences, in the much-anticipated launch of the studio. b international online magazine of all things creative.
