STUDIO
B. AND THE MARY BROGAN MUSEUM OF ART AND SCIENCE PRESENT SPECIAL EVENT
ON NOVEMBER 4, 2010
ALYS
BEACH, FLORIDA, October 29, 2010 — The Mary
Brogan Museum of Art and Science has teamed with studio
b., located in Alys Beach, Florida, to host an experience that
is not to be missed! The event at studio b. on November 4, 2010, entitled
“Anteprima di Febbraio” (Preview for February), will be
a precursor to an event that will be held at studio b. in February
to celebrate an amazing exhibition of 50 Italian Baroque masterpieces,
which will debut for the first time in Tallahassee on March 18, 2011.
Nine of the exhibition’s paintings are currently being restored
for the debut. Reproductions of those will be on display at studio
b., inviting “adoption” by interested businesses or individuals.
“Adoptions” come with significant benefits.
Guests
who visit studio b. will enjoy a feast for the senses: delightful
bites, a cinematic experience (courtesy of The Florida State University’s
College of Motion Picture Arts Torchlight Program), delectable wines
for tasting and an outstanding new art installation. This studio b.
experience has no price for admission. Visitors may stop by between
the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to indulge in a variety of delights
and to meet staff from The Brogan Museum and other project collaborators.
“When
we were approached about this project from the Brogan we knew that
it was perfect for a studio b. alliance,” said studio b. founder
Colleen Duffley. “Fine art, film, food, fashion, wine, celebrities
and dignitaries are what we are known for and are just some of the
reasons people love studio b. The opportunity to collaborate with
The Brogan Museum is going to promote our respective organizations
to new audiences, and our audiences are going to be in for some very
memorable experiences.”
Chucha
Barber, CEO for The Brogan Museum, said, “This is the first
time our organization has reached out to the Emerald Coast community.
The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these exquisite paintings
and experience our celebratory kickoff, The Florida Wine Festival,
seemed to align perfectly with events happening at studio b.”
Studio
b. and The Brogan Museum are planning additional events to entertain
and excite audiences. Be sure to check for e-blast and web information
for such events.
