Wharfedale Loudspeakers to Be Featured in Atocha Design’s Exhibit
at 2014 Architectural Digest Home Design Show
Chicago, IL, March 13, 2014 — Sound Solutions, LLC, the exclusive U.S. distributor of Wharfedale loudspeakers and Avid HiFi products, will have its Wharfedale Jade 1 loudspeakers on exhibit in the Atocha Design booth at the 2014 Architectural Digest Home Design Show, taking place at Pier 94 in Manhattan on March 20 – 23, 2014. The show will feature the latest furniture, accessories, lighting, art, building products and more.
Atocha Design furniture is created for the lifetime record album enthusiast and collector. Their record cabinets, record stands and other furniture are impeccably crafted from elegantly beautiful, sustainable materials and are available in a variety of woods and styles. The company will be premiering its new Atocha Design Speaker Stands with the Wharfedale Jade 1 bookshelf speakers in Booth M44 in the show’s MADE galleries, which will showcase some of the world’s most talented artists and designers. The Jade 1 will be on demonstration as part of a high-end music system using record albums for music playback.
Wharfedale’s Jade 1 loudspeakers (SRP: $1,199 per pair) combine stunning, meticulously crafted enclosures and furniture-grade construction/finishes with the company’s latest acoustic engineering and materials technologies to deliver exceptional musical realism. The curved and contoured enclosures are constructed from Crystalam, developed by Wharfedale engineers and formed from laminated wood and composites to reduce enclosure vibration to a minimum. The midrange drivers and woofers are constructed using Acufiber, a material that combines the responsiveness of glass and carbon fiber with a self-damping woven matrix for maximum sonic purity and resolution of fine musical detail. The Jade 1’s aluminum-dome tweeter extends beyond the range of human hearing, enabling extraordinary musical detail and high-frequency smoothness. Jade Series loudspeakers are available in Black Oak, Vintage Cherry, Rosewood and Piano Black.The Atocha Design Speaker Stand is made of solid American FSC-certified walnut with mortise and tenon joinery. It is striking, sculptural and angular in appearance and unlike traditional speaker stands. It can serve as a companion piece to Atocha Design furniture or an appealing addition to an existing home audio system. Pricing starts at $1,500 per pair in two standard finish options.
