FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Recording Academy® Producers & Engineers Wing®
Partners with iZotope on Professional Development Events

Santa Monica, Calif. (November 7, 2016) — The Recording Academy® Producers & Engineers Wing® has partnered with iZotope, a leading manufacturer of audio production tools, in a series of events for the recording community. A result of the mutual interests of the P&E Wing and iZotope to encourage best practices and excellence in audio, this partnership supports music makers through community outreach and programming that is both educational and inspirational.

Partnership events have taken place across the country in 2016, spanning from Los Angeles to New Orleans, Philadelphia and Seattle. Next up on November 10, The Recording Academy Florida Chapter and the P&E Wing will present "In the Studio with iZotope: Mastering Music Production and Recording Workflow," at Miami's Hit Factory/Criteria Studios. This technical deep-dive will demonstrate the creative use of iZotope software like Ozone, Neutron and RX for production, mixing and mastering. Led by iZotope Education Director Jonathan Wyner, attendees will also discuss the principles of signal processing and mastering workflow for de-noising and master file preparation.

"We are thrilled that these events have been a success with attendees, and that iZotope is continuing to work closely with the P&E Wing," stated Maureen Droney, P&E Wing and Recording Technology Managing Director, "iZotope is recognized by our members as an industry leader that provides tools to help producers, engineers and artists achieve the high level of craftsmanship that is always the goal. We are very pleased to have them as one of our elite sponsor partners."

"We respect the mission of the P&E Wing to advance the art and craft of recorded music, and to address the everyday challenges facing working professionals," said Mark Ethier, co-founder and CEO of iZotope. "These are core values for iZotope as well, which makes this partnership so meaningful for us. Through our audio technologies and educational initiatives, we aim to support the entire creative community in their daily work. Our thanks to all the P&E Wing Chapters who have invited us with open arms, and we look forward to connecting with even more members in 2017."

Highlights of 2016 include two Studio Summit presentations of "Demystifying Mastering with iZotope’s Jonathan Wyner," one in Seattle with the Pacific Northwest Chapter and one in New Orleans with the Memphis Chapter. iZotope also participated in the Philadelphia Chapter's "Up Close & Personal with Diplo" event, where Diplo, GRAMMY®-winning producer, artist and DJ, was interviewed by music critic and Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Dan Deluca. Most recently in Los Angeles, iZotope debuted its new Neutron software to P&E Wing members and friends at a special VIP rooftop reception, "In the Mix at AES," held at the Los Angeles facility of Iron Mountain Entertainment Services.

Looking ahead to 2017, the partnership will continue with iZotope’s sponsorship of the P&E Wing GRAMMY Week Celebration, and additional events are under development to continue the success of 2016.
