KORG, LÂG AND VOX ANNOUNCE WINNERS OF THE “REPRISE RIVALRY” BAND/ARTIST CONTEST
MELVILLE, NY, November 11, 2010 — The Korg, Lâg and VOX brands proudly announce New Jersey-based band Verity in Stereo as the winner of a recent online contest for U.S. bands/artists, titled “Reprise Rivalry,” powered by Sonicbids. The contest, which was free to enter courtesy of Korg, Lâg and VOX, offered the chance for eight bands or artists to get hooked up with gear from some of the industry’s most iconic brands while on the road to the grand prize. More than 1200 bands participated, and the 50 bands with the most votes moved on to the finals. In a unique twist on more traditional band contests, Reprise Rivalry asked finalists to “reprise” their song, by re-imagining and re-recording it. Verity in Stereo won the final round by having the most fan downloads. Their prize is a gear package worth over $5,000 plus promotion from all three brands and at least one year of artist endorsement.
